Hofstra 76, Georgia State 70

<p>Aurimas Kieza scored 25 points, and Loren Stokes scored 20 and had seven rebounds to lead Hofstra to a 76-70 victory over Georgia State Thursday night.</p><p>Georgia State (6-16, 3-11 Colonial Athletic Association) led 38-37 after a first half in which each team shot 62 percent, but Hofstra (17-4, 10-3) used a 7-0 run to start the second half.</p><p>The Panthers battled to within two points three different times but could never get back to even. Over the final seven minutes, the lead stayed between 5 and 8 points.</p><p>With the game at 63-58 with four minutes to go, Stokes had a three-point play. It was 73-68 with 33 seconds remaining, but Antoine Aguido hit two free throws. When it was 75-70, Aguido made another free throw.</p><p>Herman Favors led Georgia State with 24 points, his ninth straight game in double figures.</p>
