Dogs look to end losing streak against No. 4 Wisconsin

By By Jeff Hart
ATHENS - One of the most brutal stretches in the history of the Georgia men's basketball program continues Sunday when the Bulldogs play host to No. 4 Wisconsin at 1 p.m. at Stegeman Coliseum.

Georgia (8-3) is in the midst of a six-game stretch that will see them play two top five teams - Wisconsin (13-1) and Florida (Saturday to open its SEC schedule) - as well as ranked teams Gonzaga and Clemson and arch-rival Georgia Tech.

The last time Georgia played Top 5 opponents consecutively was in 2003, when the Bulldogs played No. 2 Kentucky and No. 3 Florida within 48 hours of each other. Florida again will be the back half of a Top 5 twin bill when the Bulldogs face Wisconsin and the Gators in the next six days.

The Dogs beat Gonzaga but have dropped two straight to Tech and Clemson coming into their game with the Badgers.

Quietly and amid little fanfare, Terrance Woodbury could be emerging as one of Georgia's top offensive threats. He's scored 14, 15 and 14 in the past three games. He's made nine of 14 shots from 3-point range in those games (64 percent).
