DANIELSVILLE - Matt Roberts rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns to lead Habersham Central to a huge 24-0 win over Madison County Region 8A-AAAA action.
The Raiders (3-2, 2-0 in region) pounded out 214 yards on the ground against Madison County (4-2, 1-2) to take over second place in the region standings.
The win also sets up a matchup with Class AAAA No. 4 Dacula next week in Mt. Airy.
With the ground attack working so well, Habersham quarterback Bo Hatchett had a quiet game hitting just 3-of-9 passes, all to tavarres King for 58 yards.
Brandon Eaton scored the other Habersham touchdown.
Daniel Franklin had a solid game on defense for the Raiders with multiple sacks of Madison's heralded quarterback Jarrod Owens, who passed for 174 yards on 20-for-36 passing.
