By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - The home of a honeymooning Gainesville couple was heavily damaged by fire early Wednesday.

Gainesville Fire Chief Dick Taylor says the fire, at 220 North Avenue, was reported about 2:00.

Chief Taylor says the flames were contained to the attic, where the blaze started from an undetermined cause. Firemen were told the occupants are honeymooning in the Carribean.

One fireman was taken to the medical center for treatment of dehydration and over-exhertion, according to Taylor.
