GAINESVILLE - It's a sure sign that summer is just around the corner: the Green Street and Fair Street pools in Gainesville open Saturday. <br>

Hours of operation for Green Street are Monday-Saturday 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.. The facility will be open Monday through Friday 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. for adult lap swims and family swim night on Saturdays from 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. <br>

Season passes are available. <br>

Green Street will remain open daily until August 5 and on weekends from August 6-Labor Day. Swimming lessons for all ages and levels will be held in the mornings and evenings. Each session lasts two weeks at a cost of $50. City residents receive a $10 discount.<br>

Public swim admission to Green Street is $1 for adults 55 and over, $3 for ages 12-54, $2 for ages 4-11, free for children 3 and under, $2 per person for groups of 15 or more. Ages 7 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.<br>

The Fair Street Pool will be open Monday through Saturday from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. until August 7. Public swim admission is $1 for adults 55 and over, $2 for ages 12-54, $1 for ages 4-11, free for children 3 and under, and $1 per person for groups of 15 or more. <br>
