Wreck injuries, results in long list of charges

GAINESVILLE - A two-vehicle wreck at Pearl Nix Parkway Extension and Dorsey Street in Gainesville Monday night left one person injured and facing several charges - some alcohol-related.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Dean Staples says the accident was caused when 23-year-old Allison Blake of Gainesville ran a red light about 11:00.

Sgt. Staples says Blake suffered a fractured hip and was the only person injured in the crash.

Staples said Blake is charged with running a red light, violation of the state seatbelt law, having an open container of alcohol, and driving an unregistered vehicle. In addition, he says, a DUI charge is pending.
