GAINESVILLE - Two Cardiac Catherization Lab Suites at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center were dedicated Monday afternoon.
"A tribute to our honorees Dr. Robert Ferguson and the late Dr. Hartwell Joiner," said Phillip Wilheit, chairman of the board at the medical facility. "We are so grateful for the $1.5-million gift to the medical center foundation, which names these two cath-lab suites."
Dr. Joiner came to Gainesville in 1928 and served the community for nearly 60 years. Dr. Ferguson has been with the Medical Center since 1980 and was the first staff physician certified to perform catherization procedures.
