GAINESVILLE - Youth Leadership Council members got the chance to vision ahead 25 years Tuesday morning at the Civic Center during the 11th Vision 2030 public hearing.

Seventeen year old Kate Norton a Gainesville High School senior, said by the year 2030 she wants progressive growth.

"There are certain spots that need to be improved, including the renovation of buildings and roads," she said

Christopher Cox, a West Hall High School Senior at age 18, wants a city and county that preserved its green space by the time he is age 43.

"I'd like to preserve some of that down the line, I don't want this to become a strictly metro area," Cox said.

Cox also said he wanted a good school system for his future children and a new facility to attract top entertainment to Gainesville/Hall County so people won't have to travel to Atlanta.
