GAINESVILLE - A 38-year-old Gainesville man has been arrested in connection with a robbery Saturday night at a north Hall convenience store.
Hall County sheriff's deputies arrested Bryan Timothy Peck about 2:30 Sunday afternoon at his Green Hill Road home.
Investigators say they used tape from a surveillance camera to identify Peck as the man who showed a gun to the clerk at the Texaco Convenience Store on Mount Vernon Road about 9:30 Saturday night.
Authorities said the incident occurred outside the store when the clerk confronted Peck about trying to steal a case of beer. They say when the clerk approached Peck, he raised his shirt and displayed the weapon.
They say the clerk returned to the store and called 911.
