New Cornelia police chief named

CORNELIA - The Cornelia City Commission settled on a choice for police chief.

Rick Darby, the current assistant police chief in Commerce, is the pick to replace Frank Andrews, who resigned to run for sheriff of Rabun County.

City Manager Tom Patton says Darby may be able to start next week.
