GAINESVILLE - Plans have been announced for a political forum in Gainesville for local candidates running in contested races in the November General Election.
It will be held at the Georgia Mountains Center October 19 at 6 p.m.
In addition, all candidates will be available to speak one-on-one with the public before the forum begins.
Participants will include candidates running for State Representative, Hall County Commission, tax commissioner, and county school board:
State Representative - 26th District: Ashley Bell (D) and Carl Rogers (R)
Hall County Commission - Post 2: Virginia Pearce Kelly (D) and Billy Powell (R)
Hall County Tax Commissioner: Keith Echols (R) and Herb Harris (D)
Hall County School Board - Post 3: Craig Herrington (R) and Mary Faulkner (D)
The forum will be sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, WDUN, and the Times.
