Hall GOP to host two convention get-togethers

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Republicans will host two get-togethers Thursday night when President Bush is scheduled to formally accept the GOP nomination for another term.

One will be at Loco's at Sherwood Shopping Center and will be another in a series of "parties for the president" which have been held around the country over the past several months. It's scheduled to begin at 8:00 and end after the president's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in New York, which is expected around 10:00.

At the same time, another gathering will take place at Hall GOP headquaters at 210 Academy Street.

Both locations promise plenty of TVs for viewing the convention proceedings.
