GAINESVILLE - A number of Hall County middle schoolers participated Monday in a statewide program that had them spending Ground Hog Day "shadowing" a number of employers for the day.
Junior Achievement sponsored Shadowing for Middle Schoolers.
The day began with a regional presentation by Congressman Nathan Deal at Regions Bank.
Among the workplaces participating in the program was Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The hospital played host to 22 students and two teachers from North Hall Middle School. About 30 students from Gainesville Middle School spent the day at Brenau University as part of the program.
Banks and the chamber of commerce were among other Gainesville area employers participating.
