DAHLONEGA - A ceremony was held recently honoring a former North Georgia College & State University President.
The ceremony was held at the the school's community conference room was named in honor of Sherman Day.
The Sherman R. Day Conference Room in Price Memorial Hall is what Day called a "world-class meeting room."
Day served as North Georgia president from 1996 until 1999. During his tenure, NGCSU became a university, the academic administration was reorganized and the renovation of Price Memorial Hall was completed.
A plaque with Day's likeness was during a recent dedication ceremony and hangs in the third-floor conference room.
