BRASELTON - Braselton police report confiscating thirty-seven pounds of high-grade marijuana during a routine traffic stop.

Assistant Chief of Police Robert Gable says two officers, Javier Garcia and David Walker, arrested the two Atlanta area men early Wednesday on I-85 inside the Braselton City Limits.

Nguyen Phuc Dang of Ellenwood and Huy Ngoc Pham of Hapeville are being held in the Jackson County Jail.

Accompanied by Thunder, a German shepherd trained to detect illegal substances, a duffle bag of marijuana was reportedly discovered in the vehicle's trunk.

Police say the pot was worth an estimated $150,000.

The state patrol assisted in the arrests.
