HARTWELL - Two men were arrested at their home in Hartwell after a raid by sheriff's deputies reportedly turned up four video poker machines that were being used for illegal cash payouts.
J.D. Estridge, 53, and Blake Estridge, 21, were arrested Thursday about 6:30 p.m. and were charged with commercial gambling and drug-related offenses.
Video poker machines were outlawed in Georgia in July 2002. Offenders face a fine of up to $1,000.
The arrests were the second this year in Hart County involving video poker machines. In May, officers seized 13 video poker machines and arrested a Hartwell couple on gambling charges.
