Court victory in California for Hall woman

By by Ken Stanford
PASEDENA, CALIFORNIA - A federal appeals court in California has handed a Hall County woman a victory in the suit she filed against a cruise line over her husband's death three years ago.

The California-based Metropolitan News Company says the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected a lower court ruling upholding Princess Cruise Lines' $60,000 liability limit in the deaths of passengers.

Bobbie Jo Wallis sued the cruise line, alleging that it did not do all it could to help find her husband after he disappered from the Grand Princess during a Mediterranean cruise in 1999. Andy Wallis' body was found five days after he disappeared.
