A pair of big games in Region 7-3A will highlight Thursday's action on the diamond around northeast Georgia.

With a chance to stake the first claim on the Region 8-4A North subregion, Class 4A sixth-ranked Cherokee Bluff did not waste its opportunity Wednesday night.

Needing a win to try and get back in the race for a Region 8-6A title, Habersham Central was in an almost must-win scenario at home on Wednesday against Apalachee.
