Here are the high school football scores from the first round of the state playoffs Friday:

Brent Benson scored 25 points and the Gainesville boys basketball team routed Class A St. Francis 90-55 Tuesday night in the Jefferson Invitational Tournament.

Ronny Hulsey was named tournament MVP and paced North Hall to an 86-79 win over White County in the finals of the United Community Bank Tournament at White County High School.

The Lakeview Academy girls basketball team held Athens Christian to zero points in the first quarter and less than 10 in each quarter for the game en rout to an easy 52-19 win Tuesday night.

The Chestatee wrestling team will travel to Atlanta Tuesday for a dual match against Westminster.
