It’s been long overdue and will cost at least $13.6 million when it’s all completed. But when the longtime iconic home of Gainesville football and soccer, City Park Stadium, sees its newest makeover completed, many are expecting it to be money well spent.

Despite 10 strikeouts from Gainesville starter Branson Crawford, Habersham Central was able to take a 5-0 shutout win over the Red Elephants on Monday in both teams’ Region 8-6A openers at Ivey-Watson Field.

Both North Hall tennis teams stayed unbeaten in Region 8-4A play after taking 5-0 wins over Johnson on Monday.
