Joey Logano made a statement in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway - he and Team Penske will be major players in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

NASCAR announced Wednesday their new base rules package for the 2016 Sprint Cup season, rolling out a new low-downforce package that was tested earlier this season to favorable reviews from drivers who have been pressing NASCAR to take steps to improve the product on the racetrack.
