East Forsyth has promoted defensive coordinator Dustin Canon to head football coach.

Jefferson's Sammy Brown was named Player of the Year, Flowery Branch's Cam Haynes was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Dragons' coach Travis Noland was named Coach of the Year in the recently released Region 8-5A All-Region team.

Union County County's Caiden Tanner was named the Region 8-2A Player of the Year in the recently released All-Region team.
