More than a dozen teams in the Northeast Georgia area will jump back into their all-important region schedules on Tuesday. By Friday, nearly all will resume their quests for region tournament playoff seeding.

Only Region 8-2A will wait until next week to get back in region play.

And there are some wildly important matchups on tap Tuesday.

Region 7-3A has all eight teams on both the boys and girls in action while Regions 8-6A and 8-4A also have most everyone back at it as well.

Some key matchups have the No. 2 Buford boys and No. 5 Lady Wolves traveling to play rival Dacula in 8-6A. In 8-4A, Chestatee heads to Jefferson where the Lady Dragons are ranked No. 2 and the Jefferson boys No. 4. The Class 3A No. 1 Lumpkin County girls head to Cherokee Bluff in 7-3A.
