Gainesville Police are warning Monday morning commuters this week to be on the lookout for bicycle riders who'll be leaving town about 7:00 on the next leg of this year's Bike Ride Across Georgia.

"The (cyclists) will leave the Olympic Venue on Clarks Bridge Road around 7:00 a.m.," according to a police department news release.  "The route will then take them south on (Park Hill Drive) to Green Street, then through downtown. The final push through the city will be on Queen City Parkway down (Candler Highway)."

Police will have rolling road closures as the cyclists make their way through town on their way to Covington.

"Although the closures will be short in nature, we ask the motoring public to utilize alternate routes."
