A Gwinnett County man who worked as a cheerleading coach at a Barrow County gym was arrested Tuesday for sexual exploitation of children.

Barrow County Sheriff’s Office officials said Charles Archibald Moore, Jr., 34 of Loganville was an employee of Star Athletics in Winder and was fired in November 2023 following complaints from parents of inappropriate social media posts.

Barrow County deputies alongside Loganville Police Department officers and the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at around 6 a.m. Tuesday of Moore’s residence at 3032 Kittery Drive in Snellville. Moore was arrested after the search.

Investigator Heather Stafford said they believe other victims have yet to come forward.

"We really want to let these girls know that they will not be in trouble if they come forward with information relating to Mr. Moore's behavior," Stafford said.

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said he is proud of the work that led to Moore's arrest.

"Moore is a predator and has been grooming these young girls for his own sexual gratification,"

Smith said. "I am extremely proud of the efforts of all the agencies who came together to get this guy off the streets."

Moore is being held in the Barrow County Detention Center without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
