Two brothers arrested for attempted Craigslist robbery

WINDER - Two Bogart brothers are now in jail in connection with an attempted robbery last week in a Kroger parking lot in Oconee County.

Barrow County police found Michael Anthony Fulcher, 33, at a residence in Barrow County Wednesday, according to a report in the Athens Banner Herald. Fulcher's younger brother, Timothy Shane Fulcher, 29,had already turned himself in to authorities after what deputies described as an attempted robbery on January 16.

A man told authorities he met the Fulcher brothers at the parking lot to buy electronics from the pair. He said he made the initial contact with them on Craigslist, according to the newspaper report. However, he said he did not trust the two, so he hid a video recorder and recorded the encounter.

Police recognized the pair after viewing the video.
