Gwinnett County firefighters responded to a home in Duluth on Thursday.
In a Facebook post, the department said the occupant of the home on Creek Hollow Way was “sweating pipes,” or soldering copper pipes together when they noticed smoke and flames.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at around 12 p.m., and the fire was under control by around 12:20 p.m.
Gwinnett County Fire Captain Ryan McGiboney told AccessWDUN that the home suffered extensive damage, but no injuries were reported.
Four adults and one dog were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
