By Christian Ashliman Anchor/Reporter

Hall County Fire Rescue quelled a camper fire in Gainesville Wednesday, where they found a man dead inside.

At approximately 2:38 p.m., HCFR responded to reports of a residential fire on the 2200 block of Barnes Drive in Gainesville. Once on scene, crews found a fully engulfed camper sitting roughly 50 feet back from the residence.

Firefighters attacked the fire quickly, extinguishing the flames and preventing any spread from the burning camper to the home.

After putting down the fire and processing the scene, crews discovered the man's body inside the camper. HCFR was unable to provide any additional details.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
