BUFORD, Ga. – Buford wasted little time Friday night, scoring early and often in a 71-7 thrashing of Discovery.
Torre Costin caught a 9-yard pass from Dayton Raiola just 41 seconds into the game to give the Wolves an early 7-0 lead. Five minutes later, Dream Rashad got a 9-yard touchdown of his own from Raiola to double the lead.
The Wolves proceeded to pour it on after Discovery scored their only touchdown with 2:14 to go in the first quarter. Buford scored eight touchdowns over the final three quarters and also got a safety thrown in.
All three phases accounted for at least one touchdown, with Braylon Williams blocking a punt for a touchdown on special teams and Silas Nuckles getting a pick-six.
Buford will be off next week before a trip to Collins Hill.
