WATKINSVILLE, Ga. — Cherokee Bluff snapped a two-game losing streak to remain in second place in Region 8-3A with a dominating win on the road Tuesday.

The Lady Bears routed Oconee County, 10-0 in five innings, powered by a 9-run first inning. 

Lillie Diehl, Jaycee Archer, Quinn Kiewert, Claire Carlson, Addy Cagle, Audrey Graham, and Diehl for a second time all had RBI hits in a 9-hit barrage. Graham later scored on a steal of home in the fifth.

Diehl earned the win for Bluff (10-6, 7-2 Region 8-3A). Diehl scattered three hits and fanned two.

Cherokee Bluff next will travel to North Gwinnett on Wednesday.

BUFORD 4-16,

DACULA 3-0

The Lady Wolves stayed unbeaten at 20-0 overall and in Region 8-6A with a doubleheader sweep over their rivals.

In the first game, Buford scored the winning run in the top of the seventh on a RBI single from LG Goldin.

In the second game, the Lady Wolves scored four runs in the first, five in the second, and seven in the third to take the victory in three innings.

Goldin had a homer, two doubles, and drove in three.

NORTH HALL 13-19,

GAC 1-0

The Lady Trojans took a doubleheader sweep in Region 6-3A play on the road.

North Hall had just six hits in the first game but hammered out 12 hits in the second game.

Genesis Satterfield had four hits and 8 RBI, including six in the second game, to pace the Lady Trojans offense.
