The ‘Greatest Day In Motorsports’ on tap for Sunday

If there as ever an international day of motorsports, it’s the final Sunday of May. The day features three of the most iconic events in racing in the span of 24 hours.

The day starts with Formula 1 racing on the streets of Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix. Check for more details.

Then all attention moves to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 107th running of the “Greatest Spectacle In Racing”, the Indianapolis 500 for the NTT IndyCar Series. Visit for more information.

Then the day wraps up by moving south with the NASCAR Cup Series for the longest race on the schedule, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Get more info at

While a lot of the attention this race weekend is on the three big events, there are still a lot other races to keep motorsports fans entertained over the weekend. Here’s a look at some of the other action on tap for race fans over the next few days:

-The Schaffer’s Spring Nationals Series wraps up the 2023 season over the holiday weekend with a triple header. It begins on Friday at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee, and then moves to the Peach State for a Saturday night race at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia. The series will crown a champion at the season finale on Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. More information is available at

Winder-Barrow Speedway in Winder, Georgia is scheduled to be in competition with local divisions on Saturday. Visit for more info.

Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina plays host to the Southeast SuperTruck Series on Saturday. For more information, visit

-The CARS Racing Tour travels to Tri-County Speedway in Granite Falls, North Carolina on Saturday. More information is available at

-The USCS Sprint Car Series doubles up on the weekend, racing first at Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, Tennessee on Friday night before traveling to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night. Check for details.
