GAINESVILLE — Gainesville's defense held Discovery to just 24 total yards of offense en route to a 48-0 blowout win on Friday at City Park.
The Red Elephants' (2-1) offense was on fire, exploding for 38 first half points.
Naim Cheeks, who rushed 16 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns, scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and Martinez nailed one of his two field goals, a 26-yard chip shot, to give the Red Elephants at 17-0.
In the second quarter, the offense dialed up 21 points, Gionni Williams, who contributed 121 total yards of offense and three scores, hit Brown on a 6-yard touchdown pass early in the period, Lenny Chatman added a 7-yard run and Jahleel Rivas-Dicks returned an interception 33 yards for paydirt.
Williams hit DJ Miller on a 10-yard strike and Martinez booted his second field goal of the night, a 29-yard attempt, to round out the Gainesville scoring.
Gainesville totaled 282 total yards of offense.
