If you've noticed a friend or co-worker in the Gainesville area has been a bit more absent from activities or their job, or maybe even driving a new vehicle and wearing an upgraded wardrobe, they just might have come into some great fortune this month.

A Gainesville player of Georgia's Lottery won $2.5 million playing the $2,500,000 Cash Multiplier scratch-off game. That ticket was purchased at the Casa Blanca along Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville. The unidentified winner claimed their prize on September 5.

Statewide last week, Georgia Lottery players claimed nearly $44-million in prizes from scratchers. As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from scratchers, Fantasy 5, and Diggi Games benefit education programs in the state of Georgia.
