A Gainesville man remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond following a two-month long drug investigation.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit began an investigation into suspected drug activity at a residence on Shag Bark Trail near Poplar Springs Road in July.

Over the course of the investigation, drug agents developed evidence that a male suspect was selling illegal drugs out of the residence. After obtaining a search warrant, SIU investigators conducted a search of the property on Sept. 8

During that search, authorities reportedly seized 249 grams of cocaine, 95 Alprazolam tablets, digital scales, $1,655 in cash and a 9mm pistol. HCSO estimated the street value of the illegal narcotics at $25,375.

As a result of that search, Travis O’Neal Willis, 43, was arrested on the following charges:

  • Trafficking in cocaine
  •  Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule IV drugs
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Willis was taken into custody at a location on Atlanta Highway on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
