Residential fire in Murrayville damages home, no injuries reported

Hall County Fire Rescue responded to a single-story residential fire Saturday afternoon in Murrayville.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to a residence on the 6400 block of Yellow Creek Road. Once on scene, responders began attacking the fire inside the home in order to prevent further spread. The flames were contained to a single room of the home, with small portions spreading into the attic.

According to officials, no one was found during the primary and secondary searches of the home. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly once they arrived.

There were reportedly no injuries and the resident was accounted for. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
