Before Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway was red flagged for rain, Chase Elliott was not a contender for the win.
Once the race restarted, Elliott charged to the lead and his second win of the season.
Our Hard Left Turn crew takes a look at the news and view out of the Music City, including:
-After getting his car dialed in, Elliott's performance was like night and day from the first part of the race.
-For the first half of the race, it appeared that Joe Gibbs Racing was on their way to a rout. But after the race resumed, their only hope was pit strategy that didn't work out in their favor.
-Martin Truex, Jr. took one car out of the silly season as he announced he will be returning to Joe Gibbs Racing next year.
-Burton Smith, one of the long time innovators of the sport, passed away last week at the age of 95.
