CLEVELAND — The Gainesville girls golf team won the Spring Swing Invitational at Mossy Creek Golf Course on Saturday.
The Lady Red Elephants finished five shots better tahn second place Commerce in the rained-shortened event. Host White County finished third 10 shots back.
Gainesville senior Vivian Robinson won the individual low medalist honors with a par on the first hole of a sudden death playoff hitting a chip shot to within 2-feet of the hole to set up the winning putt.
The Lady Red Elephants next will playClass 6A state championship meet at Cobblestone Golf Course in Acworth on May 20-21.
