A Wednesday night fire destroyed a single-wide mobile home on Gillsville Highway, a fire official said.
The fire broke out about 10:00 p.m. near the highway's intersection with Cobb Griffin Road.
"Upon arrival, crews found an approximately 15 foot by 50 foot single wide mobile home fire fully involved," Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett wrote in an email. "Crews operated in a defensive mode of operation and quickly contained the fire."
Brackett said no one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported. He estimated the value of the home at $75,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
