The Flowery Branch High School (FBHS) community stepped in for someone in need this past week.

According to the Hall County School District (HCSD), Ms. Len, who is the high school's parking lot security guard, has been facing difficult financial times.

Principal Joey Farah offered to pay for a new tire for her vehicle out of his own pocket.

That act of kindness by Farah blossomed into something much more.

Christian Brothers Automotive of Flowery Branch helped with the repair, but went a step further, donating a 2014 Nissan Altima with a brand new transmission.

FBHS STEAM/TSA (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics / Technology Student Association) students helped detail the car.

Meanwhile, the school's work-based learning team partnered with local businesses to cover registration costs.

On Friday, they surprised Ms. Len with the keys.

"We are proud of Flowery Branch High School for leading with compassion, grateful to Christian Brothers Automotive for their generosity, and inspired by a community that shows what it means to live out our vision each day," the district said in a Facebook post.
