OAKWOOD, Ga. – Jefferson got things going early Friday night in a 49-6 win over West Hall to open Region 8-3A play.

CJ Hays got it going four minutes into the game with the game's first touchdown before Dalton Dye returned the ensuing Spartan punt 37 yards for another Dragon score.

After a 55-yard pass to Logan Edmonds, Colton Grant punched it in from a yard out. Hays scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter to push the lead to 35-0 with Boone Horne and Amire Barnes scoring to get to the 49-6 final.

Jefferson will host Monroe Area next Friday night, while West Hall travels to Cherokee Bluff.
