HOSCHTON, Ga. – Jackson County gave up a first quarter touchdown to Madison County, and that was it as the Panthers blew past the Red Raiders, 44-7.
Madison County scored first midway through the opening period, but Jackson County answered with a Daylan Maxwell 20-yard rushing score to tie the game at 7-7. Maxwell scored again to open the second quarter to take the lead for good on a 16-yard rushing score before his third touchdown of the night came on the opening drive of the second half.
The Panthers also got touchdowns from Jayson Lee, Landon Jones from RJ Knapp and Kaleb Clark in the contest.
Jackson County will head to Clarke Central next week.
