The search for a second fisherman missing after a boat crash on Lake Lanier ended Saturday evening when crews located his body.

Department of Natural Resources spokesman Mark McKinnon said game wardens located 38 year old Nick Schimweg's body in 54 foot deep water approximately 50 feet from the site of the crash.

Wardens used a remote-operated-vehicle to pull his body from the water where the bottom of the lake is covered with standing and fallen timber.

The DNR Law Enforcement Critical Incident Reconstruction Team is still investigating the accident that happened Wednesday when a cabin cruiser, operated by 55-year old Scott Butler of Atlanta and the bass boat carrying Schimweg and Brianislav Pravich, 59, both of Cumming collided.

Three people on the cabin cruiser were injured in the crash, which occurred about 4:55 p.m. Wednesday. Butler was taken to North Forsyth Hospital with injuries to his upper extremities. He and two teenagers that were also on the cruiser. Amy R. Butler, 19, of Atlanta, and Abigail N. Suzman, 18, of Scarsdale, New York, suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is expected to be completed in 6-8 weeks.
