Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Terry R. L. Phillips, age 64 of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Monday, September 15, 2025.  Mr. Phillips was born in Winder, Georgia a son of the late Samuel “Pop” Phillips and the late Sandra Annette Walker.  Mr. Phillips was of the Baptist Faith, coached softball for ten years, was a Counseler for Project Adam for four years and was a avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan.  Mr. Phillips was a Plumber / Electrician and was a retired Poultry Farmer after twenty two years.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips is preceded by a nephew, Joshua Phillips and a cousin, Ed Moody.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Casper Phillips of Commerce.  Daughters, Brandy Huntsinger (C.C.) of Commerce, and Chrissy Hogan (John) of Commerce.  Sister, Connie Black Phillips of Cleveland, brother Steven Phillips of Jefferson.  Grandchildren; Cowen Baldwin, Peyton Baldwin, Case Huntsinger, Urijah Hogan, Jayden Huntsinger, Draven Huntsinger, Cassius Hogan, A.K. Hogan and Torryn Hogan.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2025 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Cooley and Reverend Lonnie Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.  Family and friends are asked to wear Georgia colors and dress casually. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Cowen Baldwin, Urijah Hogan, Dusty Black, Todd Faulkner, Mickey Cooper and Doug Jackson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Moody, Mike Moody, Mitch Phillips, David Seymour, and Chris Baldwin.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home.
