We would like to thank her pallbearers: nephews, John Murphy and Phillip Stover; great-nephews, Brandon McDougald, Samuel McDougald; Brian Alexander, Drew Alexander, Zack Alexander and Reece Alexander.

Lunette was born August 8, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Jackson (FJ) McDougald, Sr. and Eddie Mae (Hogan) McDougald. She was also preceded in death by her husband Henry Alfred Stover;  son, Donald Stover; sisters, Runelle Anderson, and Ruth Sosbee; brothers, MW (Duck) McDougald, Curtis McDougald, Paul McDougald, Buddy McDougald and Floyd J. FJ (Junior) McDougald.

She was a longtime employee of Warren Featherbone of Gainesville, Georgia and was very proud of the fact that she worked her way from the production floor to the design department, she loved children and felt that anytime she saw a child wearing a garment that she designed that she had a license to play with them. After talking to the parents of an infant and playing with the child for a minute once in a mall, she smiled and said “that’s the best-selling child’s garment of all time and I designed it” she knew how many it had sold at the time of her retirement.

Lunette was a longtime member of both New Bridge Baptist Church and Whitehall Baptist Church, where her late husband Henry Stover was a Deacon in both.

The family would like the thank the staff of Ashton Senior Living for the care she received in her final stage of life and also acknowledge the contribution of Georgia Hospice for the care she got in her final days. One person of note is former daughter-in-law, Kelley Stover, who remained in her in-laws lives until their passing and was a great comfort to Lunette, particularly in her final years.

Lunette is survived by her sons, Alfred Stover of Gainesville; Dennis Stover and wife Kristi Stover of Gainesville; grandson, Andrew Stover also of Gainesville; sisters, Dora Murphy of Gainesville; Shirley McKenney of Johns Creek; sisters-in-law, Carmella McDougald, Bertie Sosbee and Modane Stover; Lunette is survived by a host of family, friends and neighbors who have memories that will hopefully bring them joy when they recall their interaction with her over the years.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to New Bridge Baptist Church, 3120 Cleveland Highway, Gainesville, GA 30506.
