June Rollins Lawler went to be with the Lord on Sept 23. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Leo and Hazel Rollins; her husband of 61 years, Harold Lawler; and her son, Drew Lawler. She is survived by her children: Susan and Weyman Perry; Greg Lawler; Johnny & Robin Lawler; Anita Lawler; Katherine “Katie” and Anthony Fedele; and her grandchildren: Ben and Candace Perry; Daniel and Jenna Perry; Mark and Shannon Perry; Sam and Suzy Perry; Emily & Blake Goss, Chris and Vinisha Lawler, Mary Beth Lawler; John and Cassie Lawler; Jake and Jessica Lawler; Matthew and Madison Morrow; Paul Fedele; David Fedele; and Alexandra Fedele; and twenty great-grand-children.

June grew up in Atlanta where she attended Roosevelt High School. She was an only child of wonderful, godly parents. While attending Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, she met and married Harold Lawler. June enjoyed being a wife and mother to their five children and grandmother and great-grandmother to many. June also selflessly cared for her parents, her mother-in-law & several elderly aunts until they passed away.

June came to know Christ as her Savior when she was nine years old & lived for the Lord until she went Home to be with Him. She said she didn’t remember a time in her life when she didn’t know Jesus.

In her late forties, June went back to college at Mercer University in Atlanta where she received a degree with a double major in Psychology & Religion.

June studied and taught the Bible for her entire adult life. She led the WMU and acted as Sunday School Director and Education Director at Scott Boulevard Baptist Church. After moving to Clairmont Hills Baptist Church, she became the education secretary & also had the joy of leading the “Open Hearts” Ladies’ Bible study class. She also enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

When she and Harold moved to Lawrenceville to be closer to their children and grandchildren, they joined Ivy Creek Baptist Church where she became involved with the women’s ministry. She taught a women’s Sunday school class as well as women’s Bible studies.

June‘s hobbies were sewing, cooking, and spending time with family. She had the gift of hospitality, always making people feel welcome and special. She loved hosting parties, especially gatherings of her big family.

June was a great encourager and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Her love for the Lord was evident in her sweet spirit. June will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family.
