Gladys Pepper “Sister” Jensen, 80

Gladys Pepper “Sister” Jensen, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Gainesville, Georgia.
Born on May 29, 1945, in Macon, Georgia, she lived a vibrant and adventurous life that touched many across the globe. Known affectionately as “Sister” to those closest to her, Pepper was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Hollis. She grew up in Macon and graduated from A. L. Miller High School before attending the University of Florida. Her love for travel and people led her to a distinguished 35-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. During her tenure, she flew both domestic and international routes, embracing every opportunity to explore new places and cultures. Her time in the skies reflected her spirited nature and love of adventure. Pepper’s zest for life extended beyond her professional career. She had a passion for gardening and airplanes, and was an avid reader. Her fun-loving spirit and infectious laughter were hallmarks of her personality.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Charles “Chip” Hollis and his wife Peggy, (Dahlonega, Ga), her brother Sam Hollis and his wife Kay (Macon, Ga), and her dear friends Sue Stone and Judy Moon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys Hollis, and her sister Ruth “Cricket” Bleckley.
In honor of Pepper’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to Georgia Hospice in Gainesville, Ga or a charity of your choice. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
