Memorial Park Funeral Home of Gainesville announces the death of Mrs. Lucille (Martin) Emmett, age 87, of Lakeshore Road, Buford, Georgia who passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the residence of her daughter following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2008 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, June 13, 2008.

Mrs. Emmett was born in Forsyth County to the late Henry V. Martin and Roxie (Jones) Martin, and the family moved to Hall County in 1939.

Following many years of service Mrs. Emmett retired from Pacolet Manufacturing and Chicopee Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison V. Emmett.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxie Jane Camp, Buford; son and daughter-in-law, William Henry "Tiny" and Linda Emmett, Oakwood; five grandchildren, Debbie and Rene Bedard; Doug and Teresa Camp; Denise Gazaway; Lisa Heumaneus; Leslie Thomas and Danny Thomas; eight great-grandchildren: Ryan, Robbie, Chris, Casey, Cameron, Brittany, Kyle and Cory; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifton and Ila Bell Martin; H.V. and Bernice Martin, both of Forsyth County; Ray and Mary Nell Martin, Flowery Branch; sister and brother-in-law, Eula Jean and W.H. Byers, Gainesville; sister, Bernice Mooney, Lilburn; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lucile Martin Emmett will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Park Funeral Home of Gainesville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
