Winford "Babe" Williams, 52

Winford "Babe" Williams, age 52, of Boston, Mass., formerly of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Boston Medical Center. He has lived in Boston for the past 30 years.

Mr. Williams was born in Gainesville, Georgia on March 15, 1951 to Sarah Williams and Curtis Cheeks. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Sue Williams.

Survivors include his beloved mother, Ms. Sarah Williams, Cambridge, Mass.; father, Curtis Cheeks, Gainesville; son, Kevin Williams, Boston, Mass.; daughters, Andrea Alfye Smith and Monique Williams, Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 5:00 PM Satrday, April 12, 2003 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Flowery Branch, with Rev. Eddie Bailey, Sr. and Rev. Nathaniel Montgomery offifiating. Young's Funeral Home announcing arrangements.
