Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Little-Davenport Chapel for Jerry Wiley Johnson, 59, of Martin Ford Road in Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends at Little-Davenport Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6 -9 p.m. Tuesday, June 10. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Forestry Commission in Greensboro, Georgia.

Mr. Johnson died Monday, June 9, at his residence. He was born in Andrews, North Carolina, and had lived in Dahlonega the past ten years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was very active in the Georgia Power Unlimted Birds of Flight Project and also a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Home Owners Association of Gaineville. He owned and operated Johnson Wire Contractors of Gainesville and also owned and operated Johnson Rentals. He was the son of the late Lester and Pauline Johnson.

Survivors include: Three sons, Lynn Johnson of Dahlonega, Alvin Johnson of Gainesville, and Timothy Johnson of Gaionesville; the mother of the children, Mary Johnson of Gainesville; Four grandchildren, Corey Johnson of Dahlonega, Miranda Johnson of Maysville, Kristin Johnson of Cumming, Timothy Jerry Johnson; Sister, Mrs. Jack (Colleen) Payne, Marble, North Carolina; Brother, Logan Johnson, Battleground, Washington.
