Walter L. Grizzle, 69

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13,2006 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Walter L. Grizzle, age 69, fo Lula,GA. The Rev. James Kannady will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6-9 p.m.

Mr. Grizzle died Wednesday, Jan. 11,2006 at Oak Heritage Nursing Home, Baldwin, following an extended illness.

Mr. Grizzle was born in Lumpkin County on April 21,1935. He was the son of the late Arthur M. & Mary Jane Gilleland Grizzle. He retired from Mar-Jac Poultry as a Mechanic. Mr. Grizzle was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Grizzle; daughter, Virginia Peck; and son, Boyd Grizzle.

Survivors include: step-son, Johnny Gee, of Lula; step-daughters & husbands, Sandra and James Wood, Gainesville, Sune & Gerald Smith, Statham; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Diane Grizzle, Gainesville, Emanuel and Betty Grizzle, Buford; sister, Nell Underwood, Gainesville; sisters-in-law,Edna Grizzle and Connie Grizzle, of Gainesville, and Ede Grizzle, of Blairsville; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
